Every unit is made to measure for your home and installed by us, with installation included in the price. Our windows are built for prairie winters, with triple-pane glass, Low-E coating and argon gas to keep the heat in and your energy bills down.
Our windows and doors are made to order right here in Winnipeg, for a climate that swings from −40° in January to +40° on a humid July day. We use quality components, then assemble, seal and inspect every unit ourselves so it holds up to those extremes.
Installation comes with every window and door we sell. The work is done by us, usually by owner Igor himself, so the person who measured your home is the one who installs.
Because we build in-house, we aim to have your custom order ready to install in under four weeks.

Every product is built to the exact size of your opening, in any combination you need.
Hinged on the side and opened with a crank. They swing fully open for fresh air and seal tightly against the wind when closed. A good choice for bedrooms, where a window needs to open wide enough to serve as an emergency exit.
Hinged at the top and opening outward, so you can let air in even during light rain. Often paired below a large fixed window.
Windows that don't open, for the most light, the clearest view and the best insulation. Usually combined with a casement or awning so the room still gets fresh air.
Windows that project out from the wall, adding space, light and a place to sit. Built as one unit and fitted to your opening.
Any mix of casement, awning and fixed sections in one frame, such as a large fixed centre with an operating casement on each side.
Entry doors with or without side windows, built to fit your opening and installed with the same care as our windows.
Sliding and hung windows are common, but they don't hold up well here. In a Winnipeg winter their tracks can freeze shut, so you can't open them for fresh air. In a bedroom, a window that won't open is also a safety risk, because it's meant to be an emergency exit. Casement and awning windows seal tighter and open reliably all year, so that's what we build.

G.I.M. Windows & Doors is owned and run by Igor Zolotarev. When you work with us, you deal directly with the owner, from the first measurement to the last bead of caulking. We're a small shop by choice: it lets us build every window to order, keep our prices fair, and stand behind every installation ourselves.
